Drive 4x4 The Doc
WHAT IS OUR POSITION ON COVID-19 ?? Click HERE
N.B. The 2020 Drive 4x4 The Doc has been moved to February 2021 as a result of the COVID-19 situation. We have been able to hold onto the towns for each night, but due to various regulations, space availability, distancing rules, etc. there may well be changes to some of the catering venues. To be advised on the event.
Do you own a 4WD? Or does a friend? Or, could you hire a 4WD? Have you ever wanted to explore your own backyard? Then Drive 4x4 The Doc is for you!
Drive 4x4 The Doc is a great 4 day adventure that does not require any specific 4WD driving skills. The event is ideally suited to couples, and even if you have never driven a 4WD outside of the metropolitan area before – this is the weekend for you.
This year’s Drive 4x4 The Doc will be run over 6 days and will commence in Devonport Tasmania with participant registrations, welcome drinks and dinner on Sunday evening 7th February 2021 at 6:00 pm at Bistro Camille 140 North Fenton St Devonport.
The itinerary for the 2020 event is:
Sunday 7th February: welcome drinks and dinner, Devonport
Monday 8th February: Devonport – Dip Falls – Stanley
Tuesday 9th February: Stanley – Corinna – Strahan
Wednesday 10th February: Strahan (free day)
Thursday 11th February: Strahan – Queenstown – Tarraleah

Participation in these events is a reward for raising $1,000 (or more) per person in your vehicle in donations for the RFDS, plus there are meals & disbursements costs, and an entry fee, set out in the entry form. (The event is full, and a standby list has been created. Please contact us to find out more).
Our objectives are simple:
Visit parts of Australia we might not normally travel to
Have a positive financial and social impact on the areas we visit, and;
Raise money for the Royal Flying Doctor Service
Most of your meals on the event are catered for, and are included in the pricing structure. You are responsible to book and pay for your own accommodation, and every evening we will stay overnight in a town where there are ample rooms, across a wide range of budget levels. Motel, Hotel or camping - the choice is yours.
