Get Ready — An Outback Journey
That Gives Back in 2026!
17–21 November 2026
A new route. A new adventure. Same incredible purpose.
The Journey Begins…
Start your engines — Drive 4x4 The Doc is back from 17–21 November 2026, and this year promises a brand‑new adventure through some of Australia’s most stunning and rarely explored regions.
Our 2026 route is carefully curated to explore regions many never get to see — from the surreal beauty of Murray‑Sunset National Park to the iconic outback communities of western NSW and Broken Hill. Along the way, you’ll gain a deeper appreciation of the vast distances covered every day by the Royal Flying Doctor Service, and the critical role it plays in keeping remote Australia healthy.
This is not an extreme 4WD event — no winching, no mud, no stress. Just scenic touring, beautiful lookout stops, and plenty of time to relax and enjoy the journey. Bring your 4WD (or larger AWD), pack a deck chair and a cooler, and leave the recovery gear at home.
Most importantly, Drive 4x4 The Doc exists to raise vital funds and awareness for the RFDS, helping ensure that no matter where Australians live, life‑saving medical care is never out of reach.
If you love exploring extraordinary places, meeting like‑minded people, and giving back along the way — you’ll fit right in.
We think 2026 will be something special.
What Is Drive 4x4 The Doc?
Drive 4x4 The Doc is a relaxed, fun, charity‑focused 4WD event created to raise vital funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Each participant raises a minimum donation of $1,000, which grants them access to this unforgettable 4½‑day, 5‑night experience.
The event is perfect for couples, newcomers to off‑road touring, and anyone wanting to discover regional Australia in comfort — no special skills required.
